Need a place to work on finals or a place to take a break? Try our Wellness Room.

You're invited!

The Library is partnering with Health Promotion & Wellness and Food+Shelter+Success to transform the Events Room (LIB 121) into a Wellness Room for you and your fellow Gators during the last week of classes and finals.

Starting next Monday, May 13, you can:

  • Grab a free snack to keep you going
  • Color or make a bracelet
  • Bring a friend or three and play a game
  • Work on puzzles
  • Settle in for a serious study session
  • Find out about campus resources

Plus, the Library is filled with people who are here to help, including peer mentors at the checkout desk who can help you find the book or article you need. SF State librarians also offer in-depth research appointments, and our global network of librarians can answer questions any time of day or night via live chat

And there’s more on the second floor, where the Tutoring and Academic Support Center (TASC) will be hosting a quiet study space in LIB 244. All SF State students can get free tutoring and other support from TASC’s main office in LIB 220.

Wellness Room hours: May 13–23

  • Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. – midnight*
  • Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, noon – 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, noon – 9 p.m.

The downstairs Study Commons and the first-floor lobby have the same closing times as the Wellness Room for the end of the semester, and the first and second floors of the Main Library will stay open until midnight Monday through Thursday, too.

*On Wednesday, May 15, the Wellness Room will close from 3:30 to 6 p.m. for a previously scheduled event.
