Computers & Software
Approximately 115 desktop computers, both Macs and PCs, for current SF State students, staff and faculty. Sign in with SF State ID. Two-hour sessions, usually with unlimited renewals.
Wifi Access | Agreement
Approximately 100 Apple and 100 Dell laptops for use by current SF State students, staff and faculty. Must sign agreement and have SF State ID. Borrow for up to 4 hours per day. Use anywhere on campus. Installation of additional software is not allowed.
Extended use Laptops
Approximately 75 Apple and 75 Dell laptops for use by current SF State students, staff and faculty. Must sign agreement and have SF State ID. These laptops are older and not as powerful as the 4-hour laptops. Borrow for up to 30 days. Use on or off campus. Installation of additional software is allowed.
Print from any desktop or laptop, even your own.
There are approximately 20 basic Epson scanners and 2 Epson XL scanners in Research Commons.
Group Study Rooms
Six group study rooms for 2-6 people. Large screen and MediaScape Minis for displaying laptop screens. Available any time Research Commons is open.
Quiet study room for individual study. Available any time Research Commons is open. Groups should book a group study room, or use the group study area on the 2nd floor. More quiet study available in Study Commons on the Ground Floor and on the 4th floor.
